WiMAX technology (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) adapts IEEE 802.16 protocol, which unlike other technologies of radio-access provides high-speed communications in large distances even without the direct visibility of object and on retransmitted signal.

WiMAX technology can work in any conditions, including in the high density of city buildings, providing high quality of communications and data transmission speeds.

WiMAX technology could be used to create broadband connections of "last mile", virtual private networks, and corporate networks between corporate branches and to provide other solutions that have been limited by the conventional technology.

WiMAX technology provides higher-speeds, wider coverage and stronger reliability as opposed to Wi-Fi networks.

Wi-Fi is the wireless communications technology to be used for short distances, for instance, in office building, café etc. The distance between Wi-Fi hot-spot and computer does not usually exceed tens of meters. WiMAX technology is the network of broadband wireless communications to be created on the territory of a whole city with the distance of many kilometers between the receiver and the base station.

 

 

The Next Net Expedience System, a WiMAX security tool, ensures high safety both at physical and electronic (network) level.

At physical level, the network is protected by proprietary protocol of radio-channel operated by specifically-developed ASIC chips integrated into our wireless communications devices. This combination provides security against the following threats: privacy and confidentiality infringement, infringement of data integrity, falsification (infringement of authenticity) and service refusal.

As Expedience System is IP-based, it completely supports IP encryption in our services, including VPN. The network architecture also allows adjustment of the settings of our customers’ VPN networks similar to VLAN.
